Wow! Has it been that long, really?

It really does feel like just yesterday that I sat down to write. But, obviously, it's been longer. So, what's new?

Adam made it to church on Sunday. THings are going well and in his favor, but just slowly. He's still going to be able to graduate on time and all that stuff. Their oldest son, Mark, just got home from Iraq for good. He still has some time left in N. Carolina, but after that he's headed into college. Mark and Adam will be attending at the same time. Freshmen together. They're like 12 years apart in age. But yeah that all's moving along well.

A previous youth of Mill Creek died in a car wreck over the weekend. Her brother who was driving is still in intensive care and not responding to pain. The family has no insurance, either. Our youth are doing okay, but are obviously grieving. We've done two grief sessions. They seem to be going in the right paths. I'm hoping all of this effects them in the positive. Ashley, the girl who died was a junior and her brother is a senior. Everyone who ever worked with Ashley says the same thing, " Of all the youth I've worked with, I'm the most sure of her salvation." That's been the only encouraging part. But what a way to be known!

Michael is taking his Praxis on Saturday morning. He's very nervous. He just happened to get to squeeze in this testing. He only found out about it on like Wednesday. Not a lot of time to prepare. God did work it all out though. He has today off. He's studying at school like it was a regular work day. I'll quiz him later.

What have I been doing. Honestly, I've been working on myself. My counseling sessions aren't any easier and a lot of it I end up chewing on until the next session. I've been taking little steps in several directions. Keeping one room kept up at a time. Working with Kassidy and having more fun with her. Also, working on the whole discipline issue. She's such a strong tester. Sometimes I think she does it just to aggrivate me. I've been trying to do more for myself, being more open to going places with just Kassidy, not relying on Michael for as much help. (not that he doesn't help) Also, being more outspoken to strangers and not always looking down and feeling inferior to others. It's hard.

Kassidy is, well, she's just Kassidy. Her thing now is, "WAIT!" I go to leave her room at night, WAIT, I decide she doesn't have to give me a kiss since she said no, WAIT, she said no to a food, WAIT! She really likes this word, plus she doesn't have to have a reason right then. She then has a moment of recoupe. Oh, she also plays the "I love you more" game! Very precious when she starts it. She's also into saying, "Excuse me" to anything including her stuffed animals, Annie, her friend Jack, Mommy, Daddy, toys when she walks over them, bumps them. It's so cute. She really is polite. She's also incredibly rude to me at times, so it's paradoxical.

I now have both rings in my posession. I taped off Kassidy's room getting ready to paint. I've found colors for our bedroom and the living room and kitchen. I'm excited. Buddy is tearing everything into tiny pieces and they are all over our yard. We spent a lot of time cleaning up Tuesday evening since it was so wonderful outside. We're doing our landscaping over spring break! I've drawn up plans and found what I want. How much it'll all cost is another story. We have our tax return ready to use, so hopefully it'll cover most of what we want to accomplish.

Anyways, that's just to catch you up. Hope each of you are well, living in His grace with lots of joy!
Have a great day!

I had checked this morning (Early 4:45 a.m.) and was pleasantly surprised to see an update now (12:30 p.m.) Glad to see things are going well. Looking forward to your visit. How's the weight loss coming?

Think of you often
