i just wanted to say thanks to those of you who wrote back to encourage me. it really means a lot.

i went to my weight watchers meeting on monday and after a set back last week and starting fresh on wednesday, i still lost 1.6 pounds bringing me to a total loss of 12 pounds. it excites me to think how much things will be different when i hit my first goal. really, it never discourages me when i lose. the little, by little approach is enough. i know i didn't gain it all overnight, it won't come off that way either. steadfast is the way to go. i do have to admit that i made a cherry cobbler the other day and tried to lower the points from 8 a serving. it didn't turn out too hot. well, it was hot, but not good. michael likes it, but i sure didn't. partly b/c the crust part was cakey, not like pie crust. but for the most part, i don't miss any food. i do miss being able to eat 1/2 a container of ben & jerry's phish food ice cream, but every now and then i save my points and splurge on a serving.

kassidy woke up this morning a proceded to vomit in her bed. don't know what caused it, but she's fine now and kept down lunch. she has been so sweet, though. she just laid on me all morning and watched cartoons. she didn't have any energy, which is totally unlike her, but a nice opportunity to love on her and just hold her.
she made some new friends the other night. we went to our old pastors house for dinner. they were the middle aged couple who prayed over us in our wedding. we hadn't seen them in a year. kassidy didn't know who they were obviously, but warmed up to their youngest daughter after michael took her to her room to play. we didn't see her the rest of the night except when she was passing through for a snack or drink. she didn't want to leave. it was soo cute. she never has girls to play with and the one she does is only a year older than her, so sometimes they fight. but anyways, when we got home and she was going to sleep, she kept saying this word. i didn't understand, but thought it sounded like slippers. well, it ended up she was saying, "sisters" i asked if she meant katy and alli and she said yes. we then prayed for the them and thanked god for sisters. it just blessed my heart that she was still thinking of them and called them sisters. she's so sweet.

well, i've got to go get dinner going before heading off to church. my best to you all.

i love you
