What day is it?

Well, the weekend came and went. i actually enjoy the week days; more structure. mostly just wanted to update you on a couple of things. i'll try to make it shorter than my last entry :) our house fell through. what it came down to was they raised the price from their original asking price. a couple of other things factored in, like we'd also have to buy a refridgerator and hardware for all the window. it's customary to leave the curtain rods and drapes. i liked the drapes, but she had made them herself, and i understood that and didn't care. i did want to have rods to hang curtains on and it was steve who told us that would be part of the deal, that it was, i guess, how it goes. so we did offer their original asking price, to keep the fridge, and the rods. they countered and came down from their second asking price, but to keep everything and us still pay more. i understand, i guess, but it just seems wrong to go up from an original price. i really liked that house, but i'll deal.

i'm missing everybody. where my girls at? i've been cracking down on reading up for my doula certification. i got a dose of sheer panic a couple of nights ago. i think it was simply satan trying to keep me down and stop be before i begin. i talked with michael and he encouraged me that this is something i will be fabulous at. i'd been reading a book solely dealing with the process of birth. i decided that i'd try reading the other one along with it. that has really helped b/c it deals eith my role as a doula. what i do, facts, how to help the family, etc. i'm only on chapter 2, but it's calmed some of those fears i had. i'm excited again.

kassidy is being cute again. she has such a sweet, loving, helpful spirit. i pray every night that god will show me how to break her will, but not to even tarnish her spirit. i truly love her so much. this morning i got in the shower and she played in the bathroom for a bit. (i leave the door open now b/c if not she gets bored and starts to play in the trash, cabinet, toilet, etc. but she leaves them alone if she can wander and bring me things. plus our apartment is small enough and she listens well enough that i can see her or ask her to come here and she does.) anywho, i noticed she wasn't there, so i poked my head out, and she was in the living room. she turned around and she had my underware in her hand. she took my dirty clothes into the kitchen and put them in the hamper! without any prompting whatsoever. now, i don't usually ask her to put my clothes away, i ask her to put hers away. she's always finding things to throw in the trash. now she tells me, "be back" and then goes and puts it in the garbage. she's truly one of a kind. i'm not sure i could have another one - i may not love them as much. i know god will take care of that when the time comes, but for now, i'm happy.
