Summer Begins

Aahhh! i feel like summer is finally here! sorry for the delay in writing. i've been out and about a lot this weekend. as you can see, i did not go on the mission trip. everything worked out well, with no hard feelings. i'm glad. so, back to summer. . . michael is finished with his summer immersion classes, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!!!!! he's been a different person this weekend. so happy and enjoying time to do whatever he wants. friday night we went to c-ville to shop and eat out, then matt and lori rogers watched kassidy for us while we went to the movies. we saw "batman begins." i enjoyed it. not on my top ten list, but good. it made me want to have a batman marrathon! sounds like fun if i can have all y'all come and watch too. girl's night anyone? i know, we're all too far away, but we should plan one for around thanksgiving or something, when people will be in town. at least, i think i would be. even if not, i could come without michael. but, (stop chasing rabbits, i know!) then saturday, we slept in. thanks kassidy for letting us. after we roused from our slumber, we got going and went to the butler's, sr. we took kassidy's kiddy pool, thanks mom, and let her get in and play. i got to nap while she napped. it was just a lazy day. michael went house hunting again and took robbie while us girls got our beauty rest. he found a house that sounds perfect for us. sunday after church we drove by. i love it. we're calling steve tomorrow and hopefully we'll get to go look at it this week. how awesome if god would work it out for us to move in before michael goes back to school! i would love it. it would keep me busy when he disapears during the days again. but, i'll try to post a picture of it or a similar one. sunday was crazy, by the way. i got ready and went to set up for wee-walkers. michael stayed home with doodle. i set up and then left. we went to visit the church we're interviewing at. it went well. we'll see how it goes from here. i'll give more details later, i don't feel like talking about it right now. we went to eat w/the hawkins and then drove by the house. all of us came back here and the kiddies napped, as did lori and i, while the boys played PS2. when the kids got up we planned our dinner and then went and bought food and took it to the park. we grilled out and played. by the time we were finished it was dark, so they headed home, we gave doodle a bath and then caught the fireworks. she loved them. i've been showing her them on spider solitaire and calling them "boom-booms." she was prepared for them. although, she got confused every now and then with the sound traveling and echoing off the building around us. actually, she was more worried about the doggie a couple of cars over. it was a black, little dog, and i barely saw it, i'm not sure how she did. it was cute though. her first fireworks. last year, michael was working and she was already in bed. and she was only 4 and a half months old. today, michael got up w/kassie and it was a little too early. she drank some milk and then fell back asleep, on michael's arm. he let me sleep in 'til late, i won't admit to how late! i got up and took a shower before kassidy woke up from her nap. it was so sweet. i purposefully wanted michael to get to have a morning with her by themselves and for him to see how she is. he loved it and told me all about it all day. i was glad he cherished it like i do. we got to eat lunch, just michael and i, which was nice. then she got up and we all played and she ate lunch. we cleaned some and straightened up and had a movie in. then he mentioned that it would be nice to take a bath, so i told him to take one. he said, "really?" i said why not, it's your summer vacation and you can. so he did. it felt good to give him something he wanted, but never gets the chance to do. just follow his whims. it's been so long since he's had such a break, from everything. his first real vacation was when we went to boston two years ago for a week. then really, he's been working again ever since. he had about a week when kassidy was born. and christmas break last year. and now. he never complains, either, just does it. i'm so blessed, truly, to have a husband who is so involved with kassidy and i when he works so hard to provide for us. i'm thankful for his time right now. i think that's why i'm enjoying this time so much, because he is. it's only for a little while, but it's what he needs. i told him to go golfing one whole day this week too. i hope he takes the chance. oh, so after kassidy woke up from her second nap, we left for a babe ruth tournament in greensburg. when we got there, some parents yelled, "the butlers!" it was nice that they were so happy to see us. the guys really liked it that their freshman coach would come see them play. they're the ones he's been umping games for, too. however, half way through the game it poured down raining. there was going to be an hour delay to clear the field and it was already 9:30 and we had a hour drive home. we left. i hope they won! it was the first game that i didn't have to keep kassidy by myself at. that i could enjoy it b/c michael was sitting with me and not out on the field. i liked it. we came home, put kassidy to bed, michael went to bed. and here i am. we're coming up to cincy next week to help mom and dad with housework and to spend some time with them. friday and saturday we're having a mini-vacation and going to a reds game with carol and todd and then staying at a hotel that night and saturday night. we're going to ki as well with that duo. maybe i'll get to see you, kati and cindy, wednesday night? i'm not sure how oak does the weekly meetings. but, we'll try to see ya once, -k-? hope everyone is doing well. y'all need to comment! i miss hearing from whoever is reading! love yous. keep up the reading! i'll try to make more time to write.
