Our House

Sorry it's been so long. i have to admit, i've been sad that y'all haven't commented about the houses. it's made me not want to wright as much. (guilt trip, guilt trip) but, so, we bid, they countered and we accepted. yes, that's right, we're in the closing processes (30 days)! we're buying 108 Buckeye! how appropriate, ha! steve joked that that's what i liked about the house. but really, it's so the floor plan. i love it. i'm already arranging furniture in my mind and decorating. i'm so excited. i'll keep you posted, obviously. but otherwise, things are going well besides all the house stuff. kassie had her 18 month well baby visit. it went well. she's so little. she weighs 20lbs. 1/2oz. she's 29 1/2 inches. the doctor walked in said hi and walked back out to get a growth chart. i admit, it did raise flags when she just looked at her and said she needed her charted. aparently she's like not on the charts small. i've been buying summer clothes for next year b/c walmart's got them marked down, anyways, according to weight, she'll be in 18 month clothes. the thing is, she's 18 months old! how weird. i did ask the doctor to make sure. how likely would it be that she'd gain 10 lbs. by next summer? not very. so, i'm glad that the clothes would fit, but who knows. her winter clothes she got for her birthday may fit this winter, some aren't going to fit for maybe two years, who knows. i really don't. can't you tell? i wrote 'who knows' twice.

oh, oh, oh guess who went pee-pee in the potty? well, yes, i did and michael did, but KASSIDY did! we bought her a cute pooh potty b/c she was showing interest in going. she sits on it a lot, like when we go, etc. but she told me "pee-pee, pee-pee" and i got it and asked her if that's what she wanted. she got all excited. so i took her diaper off and off we went. we sat, i let the water run, we looked at a book (her request) and then she said "doe" (done). so we washed our hands, i told her that she could have more m&m's if she went potty. (she gets 2 for sitting on it, to encourage her). well, we got out of the bathroom, she went back in and brought her potty bowl out. she had gone, i hadn't seen, so she showed me. she must've really wanted those m&m's! i'm so proud of her! what a sweetie!
