Excitement

Okay, I'm an idiot!!! I've been, well it's been awhile, but I started converting our tapes of Kassidy from the digital camcorder to a VHS tape. Mainly b/c I didn't want to buy more camcorder tapes and also so we could just pop in one movie and not have to man the camcorder and switch the tapes. Well, I'm fooling around with the camcorder and remembered that I can connect it to my computer. I know that we have a program to write a DVD, but I didn't think that our computer had the right drive to do it. I just thought it was a promotion to buy that drive. Yeah. So I'm curious now and get out my computer's manual and low and behold it tells me how to convert VHS to DVD. I'm pumped now and the creative juices are flowing. I'm still skeptical, so I open the program and it works. No trial offers or upgrades neccessary! YES! Still skeptical and afraid of getting my hopes up so I grab a DVD to see if it'll play one. It does! So now my VHS recording of Kassidy is getting upgraded. I do have to go buy some DVR's but that's so minor. However, since I'm moving I have no time to waste. I guess I could justify it by having less of a chance of losing those tapes in the move. They are precious. But anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement. I told Michael I wanted to call everyone, and he said, "Why don't you blog it?" What a smart man! Glad he's the teacher! Well . . . . . . . . .
