So I finally got a call to set up my peer interview. It's Thursday!!! at 2pm!!!! I kept telling Michael I'd have a job at the end of this month. I don't know why, but I did. And God has provided!!! Michael is in so much of a better mood, now! He does so much and I'm glad I can help ease his burden. This month has been very trying for both of us, and Kassidy in turn. Although, I have to say, She's had some priceless moments that I'm glad I've been here to witness.

Last night she told me she had a plan and wanted to share it with me. Phyllis, Michael's mom, cleans over here two days a week, so she spends every Tues. night at our house. Kassidy has come to expect it and had come up with her own plan of what they would do. She wanted to go shopping at the mall! Where we get candy from the specialty store and they have quarter rides! I thought how funny! She always liked coming into Dawahare's and looking all the clothes. She was quite sad that they were closing. So, I'm going away this weekend for the Howard Girls' Retreat. I had planned on going alone and not bringing Kassidy this year. I've just spent so much time lately arguing and bickering with her, I was really looking forward to the repreive. However, when she told me how much she wanted to shop, I thought I'd invite her. (The arguin has been better when I remind myself not to fall into the trap of arguing back.) So I asked Michael about it and he said it was up to me since his other plans had fallen through. I told her what we'd be doing and who would be there and then asked if she would like to go with me. Instead of answering, she smiled hugely and then hugged my arm and wouldn't let go. Once she did, she started dancing around saying, "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" It was so wonderful to know that I had given her that gift.

Oh, and on Sunday, I'd been feeling pretty lowly all day, trying to get sick. So when I went to bed early, she tucked me into bed. As she hugged me, she said, "Mommy, when I grow up I want to be just like you." I asked her how she wanted to be like me and her response was, "A loving mom." That about did me in, and if I can only remember that when she is arguing and constantly saying, "mommy, look..." "mommy, why..." etc. I know I can get through it all. And it is all worth it!

ps. i didn't want katie to be the only one posting a cute story. i had to share mine as well!

pps. i can't wait until there are more baby stories in our circle to share! whenever that may be.
