I'm lovin' it!

i'm really loving to blog. i enjoy being, hearing, reading from friends that i thought i had pretty much lost contact with. i hadn't, but it felt like you were part of my former life. it amazes me how god brings people into your life or resurfaces old friends just when you do need them. it really encourages me to see how you still care. i check my blog at least twice a day b/c i can't wait to see if anyone wrote anything new. of course, being a stay-at-home mommy, i have the opportunity to hop on and then back off-line frequently. plus, kassidy doesn't mind having some time to explore and find things to bring me and show me. she was so cute just now when i put her to bed. i laid her down and told her night-night, i love you, jesus loves you, and i'll see you in the morning. as i said morning, she sat up and i thought, "oh, no." but she surprised me and smacked her lips, meaning she wanted a kiss! i kissed her once more, of course, and she laid down and went to sleep. she truly amazes me. i'm thankful that god has given me the ability to enjoy her as much as i do. my heart simply swells. it's so hard to comprehend that i am loved in the same way by my parents. i really can't fathom it. i don't know why? it should be easier for me now that i have doodle. oh, well. i am thankful for all my parents have given me. we're all human and hurt each other when don't mean it and sometimes when we do, but when it all boils down to it, most parents do their best and truly give a lot of themselves for their children.

i so want to teach more moms to be even better moms. y'all can pray for us in several areas. first, before much else happens, michael needs a contract with a school. we've been praying fo god to simply guide and we'll follow. it hasn't been easy. we lost one contract in e-town, but we saw that it wasn't his will. we'd both like for him to have signed on before the end of the month. second, after we know where he'll be teaching, we'd like to buy a house. i simply can't wait to have my own home. i don't really care too much about the details. i want to be able to paint and decorate and do things outside. where we live right now, i really can't take kassidy outside much and i hate that for her. she loves going outside. her attitude changes so much if she gets her daily fix. plus, she needs the sunlight, we all do. third, i really want to get the ball rolling with my certification to become a doula. we're getting money from the master's program that michael's in and it'll pay for most of the cost, so praise the lord, that's not an issue. but, i'm not the best at being outgoing. i do already have a person interested in it though. she taught with michael last year and she was divorced from a horrible marriage with one child. now she's remarried and having their first. she had a doula when she had her little boy and is interested in having another with this baby. the good thing is that i'll have several months before the birth, so if i get to the training class before the baby's born it'll count towards my certification. i have to have 3 births after my class to be certified. i'm going to call tammy and see if she would be cool if i just sat in or helped some with this baby, but i'll only have read the books. it would be good to refresh and to experience it w/o having to go through it, ya know? i'm not sure when to make cards and start handing them out or when to join the two organizations i'll be joining. i'm so excited and i love talking about birth. i think this'll be a good outlet for the good stories. i have so many ideas!!! oh, also, i'm in charge of the nursery (6 mos. - 2yrs.) at church and i've never started anything before. it's hard to get the stuff together, but not hard talking with the people or doing the paper stuff. it just pulls at me, b/c i want to do well and not let anyone down. i want to be professional, but also caring and personable. i'm so used to having the rules written out and simply following them or enforcing them. that's what i loved about k.i.

well, i've got some laundry to do before bed. oh, one last thing, i'm babysitting for the rogers' boys tomorrow until friday. i'm not used to being away from my home that much anymore, so hopefully things won't fall apart. plus, matt's in peru! my pastor is in israel, and another pastor friend is leaving for haiti soon. so many traveling. better get those clothes in the washer.

luv 2 y'all from the ky!
