The First

so, a friend of mine started her blog, and i've been wanting to start my own but didn't know how. well, praise the lord, i figured it out and i'm off... the thing is i'm not so savvy with the whole computer/internet/blog thing, so forgive my novice-ness. please feel free to give pointers and tips as freely as you feel the need. today has been a tiring day. it started at 5:00am thanks to a little squirt of mine, kassidy aka "doodle," waking up and feeling the need to wake up mommy and daddy as well. she refused to go back to sleep, even after being rocked and sang to. after an hour of crying, she finally gave in, but just in time for michael's alarm to go off and for the day to begin (for awhile). i went back to sleep until 10, luckily she decided to sleep in! i guess due to the lack of good, solid sleep, she was quite cranky this morning and wanted to be loved and held for most of the morning. doodle did cooperate and laid on the arm of the couch drinking milk and eating a mini muffin and watched sesame street while i took a shower. it was the seetest thing to see. i guess i could have taken a picture and included it in the blog, oh well, maybe next time you'll be so lucky as to witness those precious moments of a child being innocent and sweet. just wait 'til it's your own child, it's one of the best feelings this world has to offer.
after getting myself ready and then doodle ready, we ate lunch and hung out, tidied up a bit, then left with michael for his interview with old kentucky home middle school in bardstown. this is the job we want so pray that it all works out. i'm at peace though, knowing that god's timing is perfect and he has better plans for each of us if we'll just wait for him to lead. well, kassie and i went and killed time at "the best place on earth"....walmart! i bought boy things like anti-freeze, light bulbs, wd-40 (did you know you have to be 18 to buy that? the lady thought i was under 18! i'm 23 with a baby in the cart, go figure?), and a bouncy ball for the girl for good behavior. we went and picked up michael in the pouring rain! i hate driving in the rain! especially when it's pouring so hard that your highest setting on the windshield wipers isn't cutting it! but, i did it and even drove home! how's that for overcoming fear through god's grace! (i totaled my first car in the rain and have had a phobia aobut it for a long time) so now i'm tired.
well, i guess i should go, i have a date with my husband tonight. we're leaving kassidy with a friend and going to see mr. and mrs. smith. i hope it's good. i wouldn't want to waste a night out on a yucky movie. i think it'll be good though. i'll let you know.
