Well, we did it!

We bought a truck. It's our first car payment and our first new car. We searched high and low, literally. Michael found a dealer who gave him the deal he wanted, but it was in Indiana and we figured if one Ford could do it, the others could as well. Not true. Three stores told us they could and when we got there, they couldn't and tried to keep us there. The ol' bait and hook. I guess they aren't used to people being able to leave. But, Michael knew he could get it for less. Several told him it was impossible to get a F-150 for the payment we wanted. He got faxed the deal and we took a chance and drove our dying car to Indianapolis last night. We prayed they weren't baiting us as well after all that had happened. Plus, we weren't entirely sure ol' T-Arus would make it home. We got there 15 minutes to closing. We looked at the truck. No need to test drive, we had already driven several. We went in, filled out the paperwork, signed the papers and off we drove to get our full tank of gas for free! Then, it was over 100 miles home. We bought it with 8 miles and saw it go to triple digits in the same night. I can't believe it finally happened. Michael is on cloud 9, although very tired. We got home at 1:30 and he got up to go to work this morning. It's fire engine "red." He's happy, I'm happy, Kassidy's happy. She likes to ride in trucks. It's funny how a 3 yr. old can have a preference of vehicles already. But, anyways, that was our evening.
